About VOgueway Passport

Background

The background of this project originates from the growing connection between travel and fashion, particularly for younger generations who are constantly looking for local brands and value unique, experience-driven shopping. The app concept explores how a thoughtfully designed travel tool can enhance the shopping experience by connecting users with local brands, authentic style culture, and tailored itineraries.

Target Audience

The app is targeted towards young adults who are strongly interested in fashion discovery. This group mainly consists of Gen Z and Millennials, who are actively seeking memorable experiences. Research indicates they are the largest demographic expected to increase their spending on leisure travel, with a strong focus on cultural exploration. They have a significant interest in unique and authentic products. This emphasis on immersive cultural experiences aligns perfectly with the app’s mission to provide unique personalised shopping journeys.

How might we enhance the travel shopping experience and ensure travellers find the perfect local brands they are looking for?

Aims and goals

The aim of VogueWay Passport is to provide a user-centred app that enhances the shopping experience for fashion-conscious travellers. It offers personalised recommendations for local brands and insights into seasonal trends, allowing users to combine saved brands with their itinerary. The app seeks to make fashion tourism more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

App features

Style Quiz & User Style Profile

When users first use the app, they will be required to take a style quiz. The app will use the quiz results to create a user style profile. For this prototype and exhibition, the style quiz is not included; however, users will take a separate quiz that will assign them to a persona. They will then navigate through the prototype based on their assigned persona’s version.

Create a Trip and Start Exploring

Users can create a “Trip” and invite friends to collaborate on their travel plans. When a trip is created, the app will provide personalized local brand recommendations based on the user’s style profile. Once a trip is set up, users will also have access to other features, such as Influencer, Trending and Itinerary.

Influencer and Trending

Users can explore influencers to discover more brands beyond the app’s recommendations by viewing what influencers wear in the area and learning about local trends to deepen their understanding of the area’s fashion.

Itinerary and Saved

Users can save their favourite brands by liking them when they discover them. These saved brands will appear as suggestions in the users’ itineraries, helping to optimize their routes. Additionally, users can view a map that displays all their saved shops, providing a clearer understanding of their locations.

Stamps and Points

Users can collect stamps and points while using the app during their trips. These stamps and points can be converted into coupons and discounts. This feature encourages user engagement and adds a fun element to enhance the overall trip experience!
