Business Made Easy is an app developed to support small business owners with the day-to-day tasks which arise when operating a business. Every tool they might need for bookkeeping is on hand in the one place, with extra resources available if needed. Its purpose is to make running a business just a little less stressful and overwhelming.

Small businesses are crucial, they drive our economy but operating one can be stressful and overwhelming at times, especially when most owners are not trained in operating a business. This means some support is needed, they don’t need anything fancy, they don’t have time to research every background task. Small business owners need a way to receive the support and assistance they need for operating their business, one which is easy-to-use and understand, and available for use wherever they are.

So, Business Made Easy, a mobile app, was developed. Small business owners have already setup their business and are fully operational, but sometimes need a little more support, especially with the behind-the-scenes, everyday tasks. This app provides tools, support and resources in a minimal, straightforward way for when the day-to-day tasks from operating a business arise. These tools allow the user to feel less stressed and overwhelmed. Any tool they might need is on hand in the one place, perfect for when they’re on-the-go.

Whether they need to send an invoice, record the due date of a lodgement or contact the ATO, everything they need is at their fingertips. The goal of Business Made Easy is to make running a business just a little less stressful and overwhelming. We want small business owners to feel supported, so they can focus on their own business’ goals, without having to worry about the background, bookkeeping tasks.

Shennae is currently in her final semester, studying a dual bachelor degree of Business (Accountancy)/Design (Interaction) at QUT. She's loved design since Grade 7, and though she’s pursuing accounting as a career after graduation, she's enjoyed design every step of the way and hopes to continue exploring this passion on the side.
