‘Kids Like Me’ is a learning tool that strives to increase intercultural awareness and understanding in children aged 7-10. The solution involves both physical and digital components to create an exciting and engaging experience for the target users.
Encouraging children to develop curiosity about the world beyond their immediate communities is a critical component of intercultural education. This approach not only enhances their spatial awareness on a global scale but also introduces them to a rich tapestry of cultural diversity. By engaging with other cultures, children learn to appreciate both the similarities and differences among people, fostering a sense of empathy and unity.
“Intercultural understanding is a stance of openness to multiple ways of thinking and being in the world, and to differences as resources for our shared humanity and responsibility”
