About LUll

Stress is a common and normal physical response to new situations both mentally and physically and each person’s response will be different. However, stress can become a problem when it lasts a long time, or if you feel overwhelmed and unable to cope with your situation. (Australia, 2022) Finding a balance within your everyday life, setting boundaries and making time for yourself can help you cope within stress and anxiety and prevent burnout. A younger demographic of people between the ages of 18-24 experience high levels of stress daily in relation to academic pressure, and a pressure to succeed within the hard economic climate that we are currently in. (Mental Health Foundation, 2018)

Thus, came about the notion to create a stress management app for young adolescents and adults that works in tandem with a calendar to track deadlines, significant events and other details, to assist the users in controlling their nervous systems in times of stress. Stress managements and de-stress techniques are also included within the design and can align with the users’ busy schedule to help relieve stress within their busy everyday lives.

User Journey map

The user journey map explores and maps out the intended user flow of the design, outlining the key elements within the design and how they all interconnect to form a journey for the intended user.

icons & colour palette

The designed icons follow a very minimal design with the element of line being the key defining factor. Distinct and recognisable they offer a habitual behaviour to the user. Aligned with the designed icons, the hues selected within the colour palette are those of cool complimentary tones, limiting contrast and providing a sense of calm for the user.

wireframes

The wireframes provided an outline and a basis for the design to then be built and expanded upon. Providing distinction and clarity between the elements within the design as well as forming a user flow and navigation, this step was crucial in the development of the design.
