NexiPet is a wearable technology designed for pets, utilising IMU sensors and an integrated camera to capture real-time posture data and images. Paired with a human-centred UX messaging interface, the biologically empathetic data is analysed using AI to generate human-like responses, creating a seamless communication bridge between pets and owners. NexiPet offers a provocative exploration of anthropomorphism, more-than-human design, and speculative futures, highlighting exciting potential for interspecies communication through emerging technology.
Stephanie Clark is a final-semester student at QUT and a CXO of a small company. With a professional foundation in digital marketing and UX design, she pushes her skills as a designer by independently navigating electronic hardware and software development for the first time. Combining her passion for imagineering with a strong interest in philosophy, she explores speculative futures to design innovative, marketable solutions for the real world.
